Angeline Theresa (Gigliotti) Castronover, 94, passed away peacefully at the Presbyterian Home for CNY on August 16, 2015. She was born on September 13, 1920 the daughter of the late James and Rose (Tomaino) Gigliotti. Angie graduated from Clinton Central School in 1937 and beauty culture school. A few years later she opened Angie's Beauty Salon on Martin Road in Clinton, NY which she owned for a number of years. Later her interest in antiques led her to opening the Hitching Post Antique Shop in West Winfield. She was united in marriage to James Castronover in 1960, James died on July 20, 2013. Angie grew up on Marvin Street in Clinton, NY. Her love of cats started with growing up on a farm. Angie had a passion for crocheting and golfing. She is survived by her step-daughter, Elizabeth Knoyman; step-son, James Castronover, Jr.; step-grandchildren, Magen, Christopher and Jason; a close niece, Theresa McFadden; nephews, Stanley and Richard Dziekonski; and several nieces and nephews. Angie is predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Owens-Pavlot & Rogers Funeral Service, Inc., 35 College St., Clinton, NY. All are invited to call on Tuesday from 7-8pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery, Clinton.
