Denise A. Bottorff, 62, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Denise, a resident of Waterloo, NY worked for The Willard Psychiatric Facility in Romulus, New York until its closure in 1995, at which time she began working at DDSO House 507 as Assistant Director until the time of her retirement. Denise is survived by her husband, Larry W. Bottorff (Waterloo), her father, Donald T. Stockbridge (Clinton), her son and daughter in law, Michael and Karen Sweet (Greenville, SC), her daughter Stephanie J. Kiker (Buchanan, GA), step children Larry Bottorff Jr and Kristene Bottorff (Minnesota), Nancy Bottorff (Hermosa Beach, CA), Michael Bottorff (Hermosa Beach, CA), Kathy Stockbridge (Rome, NY), and Jennifer Bottorff (Canandaigua, NY); sisters Debbie Crotty and her husband Dan Crotty (Okeechobee, FL), Diana and husband, Mike Lenahan (Whitesboro, NY), brothers Kyle and wife Debbie Stockbridge (Utica, NY), Scott Stockbridge (Clinton, NY), Guy Stockbridge (Vernon, NY), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Denise was predeceased by her mother, Jeanne C. Meyers Stockbridge, (Clinton, NY) and sister, Donna Green (Waterville, NY). The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to House of John Inc., 14 Spring St., Clifton Springs, NY 14432 . The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the nursing staff on the first floor at The Clifton Springs Hospital who went out of their way in their care of Denise and keeping her comfortable in her final days.
